The Book Of Massage: The Complete Stepbystep Guide To Eastern And Western Technique

As someone who is about to go to a massage therapist, I found the techniques in this book to be good, and the massage sequences described in the Swedish Massage quite similar to the sequence that I learned at the school. The pictures and diagrams are complete, and instruction on Shiatsu is good too.
From a professional standpoint, I had some problems with this book well. A big problem is the knowledge of the anatomy book unnessicary rebates for massage, and I strongly disagree with that. The massage is applied anatomy, and the study of anatomy is essential for anyone who wants to be a massage therapist, or even a good ameture. Without understanding what it is that you press, kneading, friction, and operating system you’re not going to be very theraputic. I was disappointed that the book
barely touched the cons-information (warnings, conditions in which massage can be harmful), such as cancer, diabetes, AIDS, alcohol and other . If it does not mention cons, it’s more of a sidenote short everything.
The book has complete nudity in most of the pictures in books. If this is not a bad thing nessicarily, I see no information on the procedures for draping and protecting the modesty of the client. Also, most of the massage is done on the ground, rather than a massage table and there was little discussion of body mechanics of the therapist. I have the impression that the book did not mean for ’sensual’ massage couples, rather than a guide for someone who is out to become a massage therapist good. In this perspective, it is a decent book for couples sensual massage.

I am not interested in professional massage, just for my friend and I have a way to treat each other. And this was the perfect book for us to learn. It goes over the three main types of massage in a clear precise description of each type of racing, the positions should be massuesse massage every step, everything! It is a great book to try at home. It would be cool if they did it with a spiral but you can leave it open to a certain page. . . .

I wanted a basic book of massage techniques, this is it. I also bought another book with pictures that I find not as good. It has designs with diagrams useful to management, etc. This book also covers the basics of reflexology and shiatsu, but by far the widest part is the massage. I learned a lot just analyzing the text and study diagrams / drawings. It is a great book and worth the money.

I borrowed this from a friend some time, especially on a whim. It is a great introduction to massage, with illustrations that are useful and interesting articles, such as massage and children’s self-massage. As the title suggests, it covers the various methods of massage, which is useful, and then you get to choose, because some work better than others. There is nudity in the photographs, but there’s nothing very risky. After reading the book I applied the techniques to my friends when they were stressed, and they came back for more, which is the best praise you can get.

This book provides substantial information on massage, which tend to be a bit overwhelming, especially on the techniques of the East. Beginners may need something more fundamental than that, but those who are very advanced in the art of massage will benefit most from this book. More illustrations and photographs are included here, which give the reader an idea of how technology will. In most cases, however, the photographs could have been more useful in the transmission of its content. Overall a suitable material.
