First, let’s quickly review how medical massage therapy affects the arterial blood pressure in patients with EH. There are three major mechanisms which massage practitioners should use to help patients with hypertension: Balance the sympathetic and parasympathetic divisions of the autonomic nervous system, vasodilate the vertebral arteries and reduce peripheral vascular resistance. These three mechanisms are intimately correlated, hence the need to discuss them together as parts of the same process. Vertebral arteries arise from the subclavian arteries. They ascend through the cervical vertebrae and enter the skull where they unite to form the basilar artery, supplying the posterior part of the brain. The vertebral arteries also give off two important arterial branches that supply the entire spinal cord: The anterior spinal artery and two posterior spinal arteries. The pathway of the vertebral arteries through the cervical vertebrae is quite complex. The transverse process of each cervical vertebra has a special opening called the transverse foramen through which the vertebral artery passes. Cervical vertebrae are positioned on top of one another such

Dear butifarra61 .
your general advice is correct . I am demonstrating techniques on person who is very healthy and used to be professional athlet. however many statistics indicating that stress is the main cause for pandemic phenomena of essential hypertension and many people who not overweight and eating good not salty food are suffering from this dangerous diseases.
Thanks for good and educational comment.
Best wishes.

sorry but the guy getting the massage should cut on fat and salt? He hardly has a neck due to some not so healthy diet. A massage can help but the hypertension will remain as long the bad diet is there. This individual should have more greens and fruits….less salt and fatty food? thanks.

I actually had a question if you’d indulge me; as a therapist do you find that you develop strains yourself by actually giving different massages? For example, your lower back, shoulders etc?

It just struck me watching this (again!) that being on your feet and applying pressure to varying massages might actually affect your own muscles as the masseur…

More than most videos about massage available online, you literally radiate professionalism and knowledge about the therapy. Extremely interesting stuff, great work, and really relaxing to watch too. You’re a legend!

Now all I have to do is swim the Atlantic to get over there, i’ll probably require therapy at that point :)

Dear infam0us1000.
thank you for thinking so high on me and finding time to post this nice comment. really not sure if in my fields exist some measurement such as”Best”. what I am
sure about is that I passionately love my occupation because of simplicity, side effects free and tremendous therapeutic power. I have come to mention above conclusions not only through my academic background but mostly due to clinical results.
Best wishes.

Dear embet11,
The protocol I demonstrate was developed through extensive research. At the time of research scientists tested safety of method as well as tested how effective it by including control group of patients to have statistics for placebo effect. Most importantly, for 30 years this protocols proved to be not only safe but effective too. Please advice to massage practitioners to learn this protocol
that I propose on my DVD#2. DVD Details are on my website.
Best wishes.
