A remedy i like to use is Rescue Remedy. It is only like 10$ and helps to calm horses. Very useful for trailering horses, a new horses, or anything that is new or frightening for your horse. Just put a few drops in the horse’s water or get him / her to lick it off your hand. I have heard that if the horses licks it off your hand or accepts it, then it knows that it will work for him and if he/she doesn’t accept the remedy it knows that it is not the right remedy for it. Just a thought!

Years of experience with horses
All research into feeding garlic has found it to be toxic at amounts of around 4 cups a day, to showing no discernible benefit at any amount.
At high amounts, red blood cells are altered and anemia results. None of the claimed benefits have proven to be true for horses in any study. So, it does not do your horse any good, and may do harm.
Any time you want to give anything to your horse that hasn’t gone through rigorous FDA testing, you risk your horse’s health.
There is nothing your horse needs that is not legitimately on the market after having been tested and approved for use in equines. Your horse’s diet is not a good place to save money.

my horses both get garlic, more in winter to boost immune system etc, and dolomite for full development of muscular and nervous systems. also, my older horse gets celery seeds in winter, its basically for older horses who feel the cold lots
and i have found that my horses are heaps better since i started feeding it to them. also, they both get chamomile – to calm my young one, and to help with arthritic problems in my older one.
